Halloween at our House

Today I went and bought a wagon for Trick or Treating tonight. For the past few weeks, okay, for the past few months, I have been trying to figure out how we were going to do it. Just do the Trunk or Treat or try and brave the neighborhood. Let my kids go or make them stay home giving out the candy. Up until today I have been Racking my brain. For your "Typical" family this isn't a hard decision, take the kids out. For us it's a bit harder, Daniel has meds that he takes in the afternoon that make him drowsy in the evening, so I have to decide how late to give them but if it's too late he will have a hard time waking up in the morning. Then we add in the fact that from the car to the store is about his limit as far as walking. He gets tired, it is hard for him and he needs frequent breaks. So today, I can't put it off any longer, I gave in,  bought a wagon to pull him in and I am now feeling so much better about not making them all stay home because Daniel couldn't make it through the neighborhood. Peace of mind = $74.00, well today anyway.

Spider Bite?

Yesterday Morning Nate's ear was a little red and he said it was sore. I sent him to school, he was "fine". When he got home he looked like this...

Here is his other ear, what it should look like.
A few hours later, right before bed.

It was huge! I couldn't stop looking at it. Luckily he was able to swallow Benadryl and when he woke up this morning it look so much better. So far Emma has been eaten by Fire ants and now Nate has a spider bite or sting of some kind. Whats next Texas?  Idaho has no bugs we aren't used to this, lol

How to take a child with special needs to an Amusement Park (and survive)

First make sure you see their favorite characters

Second don't force a picture with a smile, it might not happen.

Third Make sure you have something for them to rest in while you continue to walk. Even if they are 9.

Forth make sure to take them on the one ride they want to ride the most.

Fifth do your Homework ahead of time, and don't listen to your hubby when he says "he'll be fine it's just 1 drop"
It had 2 drops, and after the First one Daniel was yelling "stop the ride, I want off" and the 2nd drop was bigger!
Sixth No matter how much they beg don't let them on a ride you know they will hate. Hence there are only 2 kids in the tea cup.  Daniel hates spinning!

And last It's ok to sit and relax in the air conditioned Pizza Place with out ordering a pizza.

We were watching the show and the kids were able to dance along.

All in All it was a fun day with an occasional melt down.

A little bit about me

Hi there some of you know me and some of you don't so here it goes.
I am the mother of three kids who are always on the move. We live in Texas but I need to say we just moved here.10 years ago right after I married my husband he joined the Air Force, he served for 6years and over those years we had our oldest Daniel in Texas, Emma was born in Anchorage Alaska, and Nate was born in Panama City Florida. However we just moved from Idaho where we finished school. Our oldest has been diagnosed with PDD-NOS which is a Autism Spectrum Disorder. He is currently being diagnosed with a physical disability and we have no idea what it is. I'll write more about that later. Emma is going through all the drama of being a girl, and Nate is well Nate, he's our firecracker, our monkey, our youngest and our most energetic. I barely survived the first 3 years of his life. And this is my story. Oh ya, and we have 2 dogs, and Black lab named Kai who is Daniels best friend and a Dachshund Tika who is just a puppy.
